The last day of class....The time was spent fine tuning the final project.
After all the presentations had been conducted, it has allowed me to gain clarity on how to apply the various new media tools at work... There are indeed so many varied ways....My conclusion is this - We as instructors must be clear about why the use of various NM tools to assist students in their work. We must be able to clearly define, map out and design courses (with the use of NM) to effectively enhance learning such that students walk away feeling good about it. Any deviations from this will create a lot of 'unnecessary noises' which all would like to avoid.
Some observations also made about Steve (our class lecturer/facilitator) - I think that he is competent, professional and also accomodating. He is a good facilitator who is able to also connect with the class and am a rich source of knowledge on NM in which we can draw from.
Just want to take this opportunity to thank him and strongly believe that the next class undertaken by him will thoroughly enjoy themselves as well.
It is important to realise that there are several new media available currently for learning and teaching. And technology does change rapidly. We need to keep up with the changes in the technology so as to maintain the currency of what is the new media.
ReplyDeleteLast of all, do agree that Dr Steve has shared with us a great deal of his experience in new media.
